Subject

Residens on the Rhine are focussing their leisure and recreation times on the river more and more which is mainly due to the improving quality of the water.
This is the basis for the idea of designing a floating spa on the Rhine in Cologne.

Concept

Two elements with specific characteristics were developed. One can be seen as derived from a floating dock and is relevant for making the whole structure float. It contains all technical and functional facilities. The other element is the inner structure which is the actual spa area, free from any auxiliary rooms. Both elements have a specific relation to the river.
