/// Footbridge 'Welsch Mill'
/// Department of Structural Design
Subject
In the upper floor of the 'Welsch Mill' in Haaren near Aachen there is space for exhibitions and events. To make use of it adequately, there was need for a separate entrance, suitable for the handicapped. This entrance was planned in the form of a small footbridge. |

Realisation
The realisation of the project was done in the scope of a seminar. The design was chosen by doing a competition between students. The winning team was Caroline Stapenhorst and Luciano Motta. Further work and detail design was done by 5 groups (final design, calculation, statics, web-presentation, project controlling). In 2003 the footbridge was built by the whole team. Most part of it was done by ourselves.
Personally I played a decisive role in the final design and the planning of details.
